Does anyone have any idea or clue as to WHY Music Disc Creator freezes or hangs up upon launch? All I get is the: "Please wait....loading component" window....and have to use Vista's task manager to EXIT out of the stalled program.

You might try a repair install to see if it clears up. I had something similar happen and I was still able to use it by going into DVD Music Assistant and clicking the NEXT button until you get to the screen where you can "Edit in Music Disc Creator" which did allow me to use MDC normally. Not a fix but a work around which may work for you.
