Hi, sad.gif sad.gif

I'm trying to burn a project from VideoWave using MyDVD. It gets to the 'Burn Project' step but stalls at 4% (Overall progress and Current task: Encoding Movie both at 4%). I've left it for hours (thinking the % complete might have a problem) but it doesn't complete.
The CPU usage is close to 0 so it seems that the program isn't doing anything - it just hangs.
There are no error messages.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rob

Can you reply with some details of your system - CPU speed, graphics card and RAM?

Also, if you ran the graphics test under Tools, Options in MyDVD?
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I tried running graphics test as you suggested (hardware and software). In both cases, it shows a black rectangle moving in and out with some other stats being shown. It doesn't report any errors and seems to terminate cleanly. How do I know if the test was successful or not?

It's a fairly recent computer, put together by a local retailer. System profile:

AMD A64 3800+
ASUS SOCKET 939 NFORCE4 SLI MB
Kingston 1GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT 256MB
Seagate Barracuda 7200 250GB hard drive
LG GSA H10A DVD+-RW Dual Layer
Hauppauge 150 WinTV PVR
Windows XP MCE

For unrelated reasons, I recently reinstalled XP MCE with all latest drivers. dxdiag shows DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) - believe this to be up to date (I mention this since I saw reference to it on another post).
Note that I purchased and installed EMC 9.0 after this reinstall - I've never owned EMC before and have not been successful at burning a DVD from EMC (this is my first attempt). The video was an MCE TV capture edited via VideoWave (removed commercials from a TV program).

nVidia just released new drivers the other day and the latest DirectX update was Jul 10 2007. Both have to be done manually. Microsoft update does NOT update DirectX. I don't have that link on this computer, but easy to find at Microsoft's download center.

This has worked for some people; uncheck the normalize audio button in project settings in MyDVD. Why?????
