Hi, all. I'm hoping someone can help. I was under the impression that the full version of Easy Media Creator 8 came with a wealth of pre-designed template to use to create really cool photo projects like scrapbooks, etc. However, it appears there are only 1 or 2 pre-designed template in my program. Anyone else notice this? Thanks! sad.gif

If you purchased a retail version of EMC 8, it should have come with two separate CD's. One is for the installation of the program itself and the second one is the "Content" CD which has all of the added template files on it. When you install the program, it shouhd ask you to insert the Content CD at a certain point. Make sure though that when you install the program CD that you choose the option for "COMPLETE" installation.

If on the other hand you downlaoded the program from Roxio's website then you should have downloaded both the program and Content parts.

There were 3 different versions of EMC 8, as I remember.  If you bought the plain Jane version, most anything useful is greyed out, and the Content disc was limited compared to the DeLuxe version.

What version do you have?

The answer to the question that I asked, may be related to the problem that you are having.  Any reason that you didn't answer?  blink.gif

Thanks. The version I have is:  Easy Media Creator 8 Suite. Is this NOT the deluxe version--the one that comes with all extra bells and whistles, like additional mass templates for collages and all?

I'm sorry I wasn't able to answer right away. I had a family-member illness situation out of town I had to deal with. Thanks for your help. Just answered the question. Really appreciate it. Again, I'm sorry for the delay. Take care.  smile.gif

You are welcome, and no need to apologize.  I hope all is well with the family member.

Thanks. Well, as good as can be expected--as he had to have heart by-pass surgery. He's recovering well, though. Thanks for your concern.

Another question: I checked out the CONTENT disc, and saw that there were a few templates in the 'COLLAGE" folder that apparently don't automatically install with intallation. So, what I did was copy those extra collage templates and pasted them into the COLLAGE folder inside the Roxio folder on my hard drive. Then I attempted to start a new collage project and tried to open up one of those templates; however, still, only those two collage templates (COCKTAIL PARTY and PHOTOGRAPHS) would open up. What gives? I'm frustrated. Do I need to restart the computer to get Roxio to recognize them?

Well, I solved the problem--I just reinstalled the whole program, and all the templates from the CONTENT CD are now open-able and visible. However, I'm still disappointed in the low number of photo-collage templates Roxio included with this full version--UGH. But more is better than none! LOL! Take care all, and hava a great weekend!  smile.gif

Yeah, that was the problem with version 8.  The only version that had full use of everything was the Deluxe version. sad.gif
