I bought EMC 8 from a retail store and tried to install it. Of all things to happen while installing the power went out. Well now when i try to install it the preparing to install window comes up the hard drive starts working then the hard drive stops and a Roxio message comes up that say that is cant finish install and to restart install after closing window and at the bottom of this window is a button that says next which is shaded gray and a finish button that i can hit and it exits the install. So i am never even making it to the actual file copying stage.

Any help is appeciated.

PS. I did check to see if the were anything on the ADD/REMOVE nothing shows up. I even tried the WINDOWS INSTALLER CLEANER and saw othing for EMC8.

Do you have any other versions of EMC on your hard drive? If so, uninstall those.

If you have no versions of EMC installed on your hard drive, search your hard drive, and manually delete all the folders from your hard drive. Then, if you have a registry cleaner, run that, and get rid of any Roxio and Sonic entries, reboot, and try to install EMC 8.
