I have a 2006 hp media center computer that came with Sonic loaded on it. It has worked great numerous times, but this last time I opened it, it will not work. It start to open the program, but then brings up a box that says "please wait while windows configures sonic dvd plus", it takes a while and then a box appears that says "the feature that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" and it references a file it cannot locate: c:\hp\tmp\src\. I found another user in a discussion group with the same issue who was able to resolve the problem using PC Help and Tools\Hp Application Recovery, but this did not work for me. I do not have the CD to reinstall since it was bundled with my computer. I'd also like to try the software repair wizard or the system restore, but it suggests that I backup my files first which gets me back to my problem - I can't! Any help is greatly appreciated as I'd prefer to not have to go buy a programs for something I already have.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Kate,
As the moderator Kevin J said in January on the Robert-Seay thread,
You need to go back to HP for this, I'm sorry.

Brendon

This error requries a reinstall of the application. This error typically comes up on OEM versions of the software, perhaps due to the changes made or the changed install paths. You will have to go back to the OEM for a copy of the installer if you don't have one.
