Hi I am new here and this may have been solved, but help me out please. I installed EMC 8 and tried to capture video and the import media just closed. I am running a new Toshiba Satellite tablet pc. 1.7 gig, 512 ram. I tried installing the program on an HP Pavilion 521N and it works. I use a Dazzel digit media creator 80 capture card which is external and USB.

I don't believe external USB Capture devices are not supported at this time.

I have an Adaptec Video Oh USB and it doesn't work.  Use the software that came w/ your device and import into Video wave for editing and My DVD to output to a DVD

Out of curiousity, are the tablet and Pavilion both running the same version of Windows and USB drivers?

Both are running Windows XP, the Tablet runs Windows XP tablet edition, The Pavilion is standard XP home edition. The Pavilion has USB 1 or 1.1 and the Tablet has the high speed USB 2 (I believe, do not have the exact specs with me right now)

If you have any ideas I am open to suggestions. The only answer I get from Roxio is to call their paid tech, support and being I just purchased the program two days ago I am not ready to pay more.

The funny thing is the Dazzle DVC 80 came with Videowave 4. This new product,Easy Media Creator 8, contains Videowave8 which is an upgrade to my older version.

Capture with the software that came with the Dazzle card.  You can use the captured file in EMC 8.

A work around solution was found in the Video and DVD discussion group section. Thanks to those of you that helped. I hope I can return the favor sometime.
