I have a Canon Dc50 and have been trying to download my DVDs to my computer. Before the import images screen is activated I get an error message that says "Sonic MyDVD has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The error signature is:
App Name: MYM DVD.EXE, APP Ver 6.1.6.0, Mod Name NyDVD.EXE
Mod Ver 6.1.6.0, Offset 00704467

I have installed and reinstalled MyDVD, I have even reformatted my hard drive believing that perhaps the problem was due to IE7 but to no avail.

Can anyone help.

Sonic gave me some instructions which did not resolve the issue such as installing the latest version of Direct X, Updating the video drivers with the latest version and disbling the items in the Start Up and servives tabs in the MSCONFIG. All to no avail. I was unable to find the 2 files in the Services tab:

roxmediadb9 & roxioUpnpRenderer9.i.

So I still have the problem.

Can anyone help.

Thanks

Peter D

Does MyDVD crash if you don't try to import or when the DC50 is disconnected?

No it does not crash.

When I start the download it completes the task but that is when I get the error message. The "Import" page does not come up.
