After having great experiences with Toast on my Mac, I bought this for Windows. What a difference!

It's just about impossible to use Media Import to import video from my Plextor M402U USB converter. It takes several minutes to launch the program, then it finally begins to display incoming video. I tell it to start capturing, and the preview window disappears and the program hangs. I have to reboot Windows.

Using XP Home with all updates on a VAIO laptop and external USB capture drive.

Other video capture programs work OK with this configuration. Not yours.

It's working better now that I've rolled back my system to a configuration before I installed those other video packages.

Of course, the EMC manual (which is a joke IMO) makes no mention of incompatibilities with other software.
