Definitely, USB connections are normally used to transfer still images or to connect the camcorder as a 'webcam'.  Firewire will give you the best quality the camcorder is capable of producing.

I now have firewire, is it possible to firewire from VHS vide player straight into PC, if so what connections would I need from back of Video player?

At moment I use USB through Dazzle (DVC 90)

I want to plug and play direct from VHS player?

Kind regards

Steve
