Hello All..
I bought a new computer Monday and when I went to install my ver 9 from the disk it said that there was a bad file on the disk and it wont install. I am using Vista now and was woundering if there was a download able file for ver 9 that I could get. Since its been out a while how come there are no free upgrades on any of the other ones I have bought from 7.5-8-9?? Why is it so hard to upgrade on this sight while other software companys make it alot easer?
Thanks Harry

We are all awaiting and update to v9 (to 9.1) and this site is not support but a users forum.
However, depending on when and where you purchased v9, you may have the latest version.
As for as the bad file, I would be interested in seeing the exact message as it's very hard to tell just what that means. Could the install disk be bad or your hard drive?

Check the disc surface is clean (no fingerprints or gunk stuck to it - it has happened)

Make a temp folder anywhere in your computer and copy the Program CD files into that - if they fail to copy, return the CD as it is faulty.

Run Setup.exe from the new folder
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I don't know where you got the CD, but if it was purchased locally, take it back and say 'Pray replace this for me my good fellow' as you beat them round the head with it wink.gif
