having some difficulty installing PCSuite (the Nokia phone browser) and after two failed installations, I received this wonderful bit of info on the Nokia site
Some applications on your PC may interfere with the installation of Nokia PC Suite. One such application is Roxio Easy Media Creator. This program can be used to monitor PC folders for media file changes.
To be able to install Nokia PC Suite, you need to turn off this monitoring feature (in Roxio Easy CD Creator). When the installation of Nokia PC Suite is complete, you can take monitoring in use again. For more information on how to disable monitoring, consult Help in Roxio Easy Media Creator.
turn off what? where?
I am a total newbie to Roxio, and was just starting to think I was learning my way around it when this cropped up...could someone tell me where I'm supposed to find this feature and how to disable it for the course of the browser installaion?

For Windows XP:
Select Start--> Run--> type msconfig--> select Services tab--> check the box next to Hide all Microsoft services. You will now see a list of the remaining services. From here, you may disable all of the EMC9 items, reboot your computer, then enable the EMC9 items you want. I do not have EMC9 installed on my XP partition, but this is what is listed under Vista:
InstallDriver Table Manager ***
Roxio UPnP Renderer 9 ***
Roxio UPnP Server 9 ***
Liveshare P2P Server 9 ***
RoxMediaDB9
Roxio Hard Drive Watcher ***
stllssvr (related to cd label application) ***
*** Normally not selected by myself
Next, select the Startup tab--> unselect RoxWatchTray9.exe
Let me know how it goes!

There should be an icon in your system tray for the Media Manager Services which is the app doing the "monitoring". Use that icon to open it up and stop it from "watching" or "monitoring" any directories.

See my prior post above. I edited up there so people would not need to scroll to this point.
