CinePlayer DVD Decoder For Windows Vista

I have Windows Vista OS. What is the decoder for and should I get it? Thanks.

As noted (right there on it's features page) it "Enables playback of DVD, MPEG-2 and 5.1-channel Dolby Digital files in Windows Media Player". If you have EMC 9 and have installed CinePlayer with that already, you have no need for it, the engine is already on your system.

hi,ive installed roxio creator 9xe and have probs with cineplayer when i click on it a dialog box say-com object with CLSD{678412B0-ADD1-47F8-98E3-0C1B6EBA8D1A}is either not valid or not registered.when i press ok this comes up-Windows media player 9.0 or higher is required to run this application.please install the latest version of windows media player and run this application.Please can you help,ive not been on comps for long so i dont understand what this means.iam on an iqon vista home premium.rating-3.0windows experience index 3.00ghz.processor-intel®pentium® D CPU 3.0GHZ

9XE is an OEM version which came bundled with your drive or computer.
As such, it's a cut-down version and you'd have to contact the suppliers about problems

Trying to install cp decoder packv 1.0. Nears compleation and shuts down. Any ideas?
