EMC9 refuses to see DVD burner after registration

After installing and rebooting the computer I ran EMC9 and had no problems seeing my DVD burner and eracing a DVD+RW. I registered the product and now it refuses to accept the burner even exists. I have tested the burner on another program and it worked fine.
