ok, here'e the deal. I made the mistake of partitioning my hard drvie from C-J. Well my C drive is full and I'm trying to install Easy 9 into my D drive, during the install it see's that my C drive is full and opens a window of my other drives, which It says that I can pick a different drive and continue the install. Well I pick the D drive and it won't go there, I can't click on it or do anything with any other drives  for that matter. Can some please tell me how to get it to go to the other drives?...............thanks so much..........Pumper

You need to clean whatever you can, on your C: drive.  Even when the program is installed to a different drive, there is still a lot that goes to the C: drive.

Try changing the Windows default setting for temp files, to the D: drive, instead of the C: drive.  I don't know if it will help, but it might.

Click on the Start button, right click on My Computer, and click on Settings.  Then click on the Advanced button, click on Environmental Variables, the change the TEMP and TMP file location to wherever your want them.  Make sure that you set up TEMP and TMP folders, before you do this.

Just another idea but why don't you just adjust the space of your C partition with one of the many partitioning programs?  Actually, there's ways to do it with what you already have but programs like Partition Magic, Acronis Disk Manager, Gparted etc., take the worry out of it.
I keep my OS on my 'C' partition and all my data on my 'D' partition then I make an image of C and it saves time if I have to reinstall.

thnaks for the tip, beerman. I've looked at Partition Magic online and like what it says it can do. I'm going to give that a try. I'm also going to get either 360 or Norton's System works 2007 at the same time. I've always liked Symantec software. Again, thanks. i'll post back the results

Be very VERY careful with Systemworks - it wrecks EMC9 (the One Button Checkup is the culprit).

I used to like it but switched to Ashampoo WinOptimizer (does everything NSW does except for AV but does it better)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I looked at  Ashampoo WinOptimizer  web site. Looks good to me, but it doesn't say if u can change the size of your partitions?...........Will it do this. I'm always eagger to try new software. I know Symantec uses alot of memory and space.........thanks for any thoughts on this..............pumper

I'm afraid it won't resize partitions (but then, even NSW can't do that). For that job I used the old PowerQuest Partition Magic program. Other makers do them (just can't recall who but perhaps someone can post with recommendations), but in the meantime, check here

What about using Nod32 or Linux?

???????
Just what are you talking about?

As a FYI - I quad boot here - XP Pro 32, XP Pro 64, Vista Ultimate and Gentoo Linux

Your comment has absolutely nothing to do with a well-known issue with Norton's registry cleaner. That wrecks EMC9 while the Ashampoo one doesn't
