I just upgraded to EMC 9 because the basic version that came with my PC did not support AC3.  Now after I import my movies and attempt to burn to a DVD I get this 80004005 error and nothing happens.  I have upgraded the drivers for my video card and have directx 10.  I have tried rendering via software and hardware but to no avail.  Help!

Try starting MyDVD thru Start -> Programs -> Roxio 9 -> ......   instead of thru the Roxio Home app.

Also try burning to an image file (.iso) instead of direct to the disc. If that works you can then use the Disc Copier app to burn that image file to a disc.

Tried that and the error still appears.  The project that I am attempting to burn was taken from a VCR and burned to a DVD on a VCR/DVD combo, then imported to my PC for editing.  Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Try Software rendering, and see what happens.

You can try this patch that was made for EMC 8, but read down towards the bottom, first.
