With Easy Creator 6 the Media Explorer provided an option called "Convert Audio File Format" on the context menu of a selected track..  With Easy Media 8 I can't find any way to convert a file.  The absence of documentation is not particularly helpful.  Is it possible someone knows how to perform format conversion on existing files (i.e., not when importing from a CD or other device)?

Open your sound file in Sound Editor, then click on File/Export As, and pick whatever file extension that you want it converted to.  Make sure you point it to a folder where you can find it later.

Well that is some help!  However, by using the notion of a context menu associated with a selection list, the former (V6) technique allowed for converting multiple files (tracks) in a single operation.  Within Sound Editor it seems that when multiple files are selected they are considered to be multiple clips destined for a single track (output file).  While sound editor provides a lot more function than simple conversion, I'd still like to convert a set of files in a single operation.  Possibly this is another case of simply needing to be shown the way.  How about it?

You are going to have to test a little.  Open 3 audio clips into Sound Editor.  Then, at the bottom, use the Crtl key to select all 3 clips.  Then go to File/Export Tracks or Clips, anc click on it.  Then, click on Use Clips From Project, and go from there.

If it works for you, add whatever tracks you want to change the format, and do the same thing.

Sound Editor won't let me select more than one clip at a time.

I have no clue why it won't work for you.  If you have 3 clips loaded, hold the Ctrl key down, and click on each of the 3 clips, down at the bottom of the screen.  If it doesn't work, I have no clue why not.  It works for me.
