I have installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, did a clean install, just wondering if there is Hardware that works with this software?
Mine: Type Description
DVD/CD-ROM Drives TSSTcorp CD-RW TS-H292B = Drive D
PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8701 = Drive E
I can burn video's movies with the Phillip DVD+-R. Current Problem I can't burn a music CD. If I try to do a music CD, Music Disc Creator shows the Disc in Drive E but still diplays the message Insert Disc, it just will not recognize Drive D at all. I have also tried it from Media Creator 9, same results. I have Tried -R, +R, Different Disc manufacturers. Shown below is my info!

You may have a faulty drive - there are two lasers - one for CD and the other for DVD (narrower beam).

You could try a lens cleaner on the drive and see if that picks up the CD

Drive D is a reader only and the program won't show it

I can select burn iso image, I can then browse to either drive and burn that on the CD, strange, don't you think!

A bit confusing. You state that you are creating a MUSIC CD, but then state that you tried -R and +R which are DVDs. If you have created a CD project, it certainly will not burn that to a blank DVD.

Then later you state that you can burn the ISO to a 'CD'. Would need more information.

The main question is what Hardware would Roxio recommend that someone use with their software? After all the work-a-rounds fix one problem but create another it would be nice to know if you could purchase somthing that didn't have to be tweaked all the time.

PoolMan,
don't know what Roxio would recommend but if hardware means a optical drive. I have 12 DVD burners BenQ, Nec, Plextor, and Sony all work fine with EMC 7.5, 8,and 9, in XP sp2.
