I installed EMC9 and had no errors.
Now when I try to open any of the programs nothing opens (no errors).
I tried repair and reinstalling but still nothing.
Can anyone help?

How about listing you system specs like I have in my signature?
Can you open any of the programs from the Start menu?

Now I can not open from the start menu.
I am using Windows XP Pro- 640 memory- Norton Systemworks- Office- AVG-Sygate Firewall, nothing exotic.

What I did notice that there is a possiblity that if or when I clean out the temp file by using %temp% and then it out I can not then open the program.
I am in the process of deleting all of Roxio and then I will reinstall it.
I will then move anything related to a folder and see what happens.
It is a shame that installing and uninstalling takes so long.

Are you using the "Clean Install Procedure" pinned at the top of the Installation forum?

Have you shut down the firewall as well as Norton when doing the install? Installing with these running has caused failed install for some users.

Did a Clean install (I am on my 3rd install now) and shutdown both firewall and antivirus.
I am waiting to see what happens this time. It is still installing the software.
I have never seen any other software that is this slow installing.
I may have to go back to EMC5.
Deleting the temp files could be a problem but I never heard that this is the case???????????????

Please also note that if you use Norton Systemworks 2006 and do a "Start One Button Checkup" it will stop all programs from working.

If anyone has a fix for this please reply.
I have reverted back to EMC5. To many problems.

Almost the same problem.
I installed EMC9 and had no errors.
Now when I try to open any of the programs nothing opens (no errors).
I tried repair and reinstalling, and program loaded (executed) for a while.
Now the program (Roxio 9) will not load again.
Using WinXP Home.
