I had originally scheduled a daily Back-up at 6 PM. I have revised the time to 7 PM. Since then at 7 PM a scree comes up with a message there is another program running and I need to shut down that program. There are times I see the screen going thru Backup reading and in many cases the program stops when I close the screen My Back-up has not been updated since the end of July, 2007.
Obviously, the first daily scheduled Back-up time kicks on even though I changed the time.
There is no mechanism for me to delete the 6 PM setting. I have assumed once I changed the Daily setting time, the system automatically updates itself. Obviously, that is not the case. On the other hand there is no mechanism to delete the old schedule either.

I am not getting any support from Roxio support. The community is my last straw.  Is there any body can help me?

When you rescheduled the backup, where did you do this, in BUMP or in the Windows task scheduler? If under XP, you have to do this from the Windows task scheduler as that is what BUMP uses. Check there and see if you have entries.

I did thru BUMP. There was no indication or Instruction to go thru the XP scheduler. I just received a detailed instruction from Roxio to make changes thru mscnfig which I have not done yet. I presume, that will automatically re-configure thru XP.
If you know this,  Roxio knows also.  Why that instruction is not in BUMP?
Life could be simple.
Thanks.

I got the information right out of the BUMP help file. Just looked under topics for schedule, then changing. It had three ways. One for within BUMP, and 2 if task scheduler is installed on the system, one for 2k and one for XP.

Here is what is in there.

To change a scheduled backup job with Task Scheduler in Windows XP:

Open the Task Scheduler by double-clicking its icon in the Windows taskbar or by navigating to it using the Windows Start menu. A typical path is: Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Scheduled Tasks.
Task Scheduler appears.

Highlight the scheduled backup job you want to change, then select Properties from the File menu.
Click on the Schedule tab.
Make your changes, then click on the OK button.
Refer to your Windows documentation for instructions on using Task Scheduler.
