DVD9 must resolve files? All missing files must be resolved before editing the production?

Windows Vista Home Basic
Roxio Creator 9 Home Version: 9.0.088
Problem:
When I go into my MyDVD 9 project menu I click on my thumbnail to 'edit movie' and i get the following message...
"All missing files must be resolved before editing the production"
Note that I did not move or rename any files within my computer. All of the files that I was working with are in my pc still in their original locations. The Roxio program, MyDVD, crashed while I was inserting a video clip (.VOB file). I was dragging it (drag and drop from file folder) into my production.
If I 'Browse for missing files' it says ...."No missing files were detected in the current production"...
If I 'Validate Project' it says...."No problems were found in the project"....
How do I find out what files need to be resolved??? Especially if I cannot get into the production editor to see if any files actually are missing....

I know you can add VOB file in Videowave. Were you trying to insert the VOB while in Videowave mode in MyDVD?

No posts since August, guess James59 figured out what he had done wrong…
Without any details, no one can offer you any suggestions since we don't have clue.

In any case here it is again.
I used videowave to create my video/VOB and jpeg image "chapters". I just dragged and dropped the files into videowave from my root folder into the videowave storyline. I only used MyDVD to place the videowave created chapters into the DVD format. This helps alot also to break down the project into specific categories.
Some items that helped is if you go to your file menu 'tools' and select 'options' and clear the proxy files (while in videowave). This makes editing go smoother with less crashing. This also helps in editing the native audio of movie clips. when you open a movie clip to edit native audio wait for a few minutes after the movie clip is opened to edit the native audio. this gives roxio a chance to load all of the native audio and doesnt crash as much. Also if you are splitting and trimming parts of the movie clip in the videowave timeline, I still save after each successful attempt as roxio will still crash sometimes.
I saved my created videowave files as 1,2,3,4...etc corresponding to the chapter number. be sure to add an image at the start of each videowave segment as this will be the image appearing in your into titles in MyDVD. if you have a black transition panel between chapters add this panel to the end of each videowave chapter.
Once last item is once your newly created videowave chapters are placed in MyDVD, the final step for me was to then add my audio/music files in the timeline of MyDVD and lastly to make the intro titles in MyDVD.
james_hardin should actually think before posting items in which he does not know.
in any case i hopes this helps and isnt deleted again. No problem malatekid. thanks for emailing me and letting me know my reply was deleted. Accidents happen and I appreciate it.

Also just to let you know roxio has no patch or fix for the missing files problem. i had to start my project from scratch again. They must be too busy creating EMC10 with all new problems rather than resolving their last unstable version in which we all obvioulsy wasted some money on. until tech support fixes their original problems i would not invest in these programs anymore as we can see they really dont appreciate their customers enough to provide prompt fixes for errors.

James59,
Thanks for posting again. As I indicated in a PM sent to you immediately after I realized that I overwrote your post (one or two paragraphs) yesterday morning. I hit Edit instead of Reply. Thanks for the understanding of the incident.
Since James Hardin did not see that post of yours, the remark was made based on the state of the thread at that time. So this is a consequence of the incident.
Thanks.

Still in the business of stirring things up, huh? I guess things will never change.

No... I have a inbox full of these, malatekid has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to.
By the time I go look they've been deleted! Hence my statement "I thought that just happened to me!" no stirring, just a everday fact.
I just don't understand why one would post, then delete his post so often and so fast, well one reason.
I would be happy to PM you some examples?
