Hi...can anyone help me please, I am in trouble rolleyes.gif

Currently I am running Windows Vista 64 bit with an Intel E6600 on a P5K Deluxe, graphic card is an Nvidia 7100 with the 64 bit Nvidia drivers.

I am using an Asus Sata burner, (DRW-1814BLT) with the latest firmware 1.13.

Now the problem is that once copied the dvd video disk, when I insert the virgin dvd +R DL as programmed, the suite doesn't recognize the disk and keep on asking for support.

And this happens only with the Roxio suite, it doesn't happen with other programs but the same hardware.

Moreover when I control with the disk check a dvd +R DL (I am using Verbatim +R DL 2.4X) everything is all right, this suite recognizes the kind of support I put in the burner.

But it doesn't do this after the copy when would be the time to do so and burn :-)

The same thing happens with the program Easy Dvd Copy 2 in Windows XP 32 bit, (same hardware).

At the moment I cannot practically use this software, (and worst of all I don't know what to do).

Thanks

I am guessing English is not your 1st language???

IF I understand you, you can copy or burn One time then you get the error???

If so, it is a known bug. The only solution is to copy to an ISO file, then start Disc Copier again for only one burn. Close DC and repeat as needed…

I don't know is that was fixed in the upcoming update.

Yes, sorry, but my problem is from the beginning as I cannot burn anything.

Disk Copier reads the dvd video I want to copy, then comes the time for burning and ...nothing, because goes on asking for a Double Layer disk, but I put a double layer disk inside the burner!!

It simply ejects the disk and keep on asking for the the right disk, no matter if I put Verbatim +R DL which should be the right ones.

It looks like it is not able to recognize the disks.

Same thing happens using Easy DVD Copy 2 in Windows XP (as this program doesn't work in Windows Vista).

What a problem!

Roxio DO has problem to recognize Double Layer Disk in some case. Try to use Application/Disk Copy.

Try this…

Copy the entire contents of the disc to an empty folder on your HD.

Rename the VIDEO_TS folder to VIDEO_T

Open Classic

Set the Project Properties to UDF, No Bridge.

Set the disc size to a +R DL disc.

Add the folders to the Project.

Rename the VIDEO_T folder to VIDEO_TS (the reason for all this renaming is that Classic won't allow a VIDEO_TS folder to be loaded)
Make sure it is not going to exceed the capacity of a DL disc!

Select Burn and make sure Read Only is checked.

Burn it!

I did, is this supposed to make a DVD video disc for a settop player to play? My Sony DVP NS70H won't read the disc. Power DVD 7, on the PC loads the disc and plays it with no problems.

Or are we just burning data to the DL + R DVD Disc?

No James,

He seems to be saying that he can read a DL DVD to his hard drive with the Roxio suite, but when it comes time to write it, the software won't recognize that he has inserted a blank DVD+R DL disc, and therefore won't write.

Č quello cosi, Francis?

I'm trying to help James, and I'm waiting for Francis to confirm that's what his problem is.

While we're waiting, yes cd, that method with Creator Classic doesn't make a DVD-video compliant disc. It makes a data disc which is very close to DVD-video and will work on a lot of set-top players but not all of them.

Check the disc with Roxio's Disc and Device utility, and you'll see what I mean.

Best regards,
Brendon
