Does Roxio ever try their products before releasing them? Do they know how many hours of time we poor slobs out here in flyover country have lost, trying to get your worthless programs to work? Couldn't you at least rewrite a fix and publish it for us to download?  Does any one from Roxio ever read this forum?

As I write this, my computer cycling between "Installing Setup" and "Trial has expired". I've following all the clean install directions, etc. Nothing works.

WHY CANT ROXIO MAKE PROGRAMS THAT INSTALL? GET IT RIGHT, HELP US, OR GO THE HELL OUT OF BUSSINESS!

Can you give us a bit more info about your problem such as what OS you have and what your system specs are as well as the version of EMC you're running now?

Paul,

HP Pavilion D4100E, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP SP2, One, on-board DVD RW, one LaCie external DVD RW, EMC 9.

I think I finally have EMC uninstalled; what a chore!

So, are you planning on putting it back on or are you giving up?  It's possible there is a conflict with another program on your system.  Do you have similar software installed on your system.

Also, in regard to the 'trial expired' problem - have you been running a registry cleaner (Norton, McAfee, etc)?

I experianced this once after running registry cleaner. Ended up I have to uninstall everything and re-install it again.
