I'm using Easy Media Creator 8 to create slide shows (in videowave) and burn to a DVD.(tried burn using DVD express and disc copier) I'm using Sony DVD-R discs. The DVD plays on my computer but won't play on my DVD player.(it also plays on another DVD player) I have a Sony DVP-NS90V DVD player. (The region code is 1 on my player and my computer).
Regular DVD's play great, other slide shows made with a Mac using DVD-R play great.
The error message I get is c:13:70 the disc is dirty.
I checked the manual and it is compatible with DVD-R discs.
I made a copy using CD-R and that plays but the quality is terrible.
I tried searching for an answer in many forums before I posted but couldn't find a resolution.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The fact that it plays on your PC as well as other Players indicates that it is a Player/Media issue…
Try to get a small quantity of Verbatim discs in both 'dash' as well as 'plus' type and see what happens with those.
Some Players, while they claim "compatible", are just plain finicky about their diet!

Something else to check is make sure you burned it in the US format (NTSC) if in the US or PAL if in Europe. Some DVD's do and some do not handle both formats.

You might also want to try using one of those DVD cleaner discs or some dry air to clean out the player. Be careful if you are using dry air; you don't know what kind of vermin may have gotten into your player.

Thanks for the feedback.
It was a media issue. Couldn't find Vebatim so I bought some Philips DVD+R and it worked.
Funny that Sony DVD-R won't work in my Sony DVD player. I did read somewhere that Sony players like the "plus" discs better.
Thanks again.
