I think I have all updated drivers downloaded and installed. .Net Framework is V1.1.
Also downloaded the updated driver from ATI for the Radcom 9800 Video Card.
I am not an expert so would appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Hi Mike,
can you please post a bit more info such as the balance of your computer specs and the steps you took to burn your dvd?
A few suggestions just to start. Make sure your hard drive is defragged and shut down any unneeded background programs. If using MyDVD and burning direct to disc, first try saving to an image file and see if that is successful. If so, you can then use Disc Copier to burn the ISO to disc.

Thanks for reply. I have a Dell running XP Pack 2. Video Card is 128 DDR ATI Radcin 9800. I tried the burn to file approach then drag and drop. The image file burned well but the drag and drop was running slow then stoopped. However, the message prior to my drag and drop said the "steam" wouldn't run but I proceeded anyway. Think I need .net framework v2.50727 so I am downloading v2.xx6X from microsoft now.
Your help is appreciated. I just don't know what information details you need. I am a novice.
Thanks,
Mike

If you do have the retail version of EMC9, try the MyDVD method I mentioned in my previous post.
Do get back and let me know what happens.

You don't happen to have the program Steam installed? I ask, because I have read about problems with that program a few years ago. It was unrelated to video editing programs.

I succesfully burned my first DVD. It has only 33 seconds of space left. It took about 2.5 hrs to burn.
So I deleted some short video sequence and it says it has 36 seconds of space left. I tried to burn it, the Encoding, Recording Menu, Closing Project all were succesful but when it comes to "Burning Image", it hanged on me and the progress is always 0% (but the overall progress is already something like 97% or 98%)
What happened ? I can burn the first time without any problem but why this second time I have problem ?
May I ask, is it okay when burning chose the option "to burn to a folder". The folder will then a Video_TS file. If I then copy this Video_TS file and copy to another PC can burn this Video_TS file to a dvd later on, will it work ?
Thanks

It should work, if you have a program like Disc Copier on the other computer.

Thanks Mr grandpabruce for your post.
I tried to burn the program again but this time to a folder. I checked the folder and it has 2 folders, one Video_TS folder and the one, RoxioPlams folder. Anyway when I tried to copy both to an external HDD (so that I can transfer them to another computer to burn), I received a warning message like "... this file may contain missing properties that .... Are you sure you want to proceed ? ... "
I still continue to copy ? Since my "burning" to the folder was alright.
Thanks

You are welcome, and let us know if you can burn it to a DVD, on the other computer.

Hi Mr grandapabruce,
I managed to burn it to a DVD on another computer which was running under Xp using the program Nero (choose option to recode) by copying the folder Video_TS.
I noticed that the processing runs much faster in my older computer (which runs on Xp) as compared to my new PC (which runs on Vista Basic).
Anyway, I still cannot figure out why the burning on the Vista computer halt at 97% (when earlier attempt was without any problem), can you ?
Thanks

Mr. Grandpabruce,
It worked. Thanks so much. I can already see things that I want to do to make it better.

You are welcome. The software has big problems with NVidia video cards. I have a higher end NVidia card, and I have to use software rendering, if I want a good viewing final production.
In hardware rendering, mine does not "hang" however.
