I have had a problem whereby I cannot access my CD Drive E through my Windows XP Operating system. When I attempt to open it or copy files to it i get a message "E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect funtion." I can hopwever write files to CD using creator 9. Is it possible that Creator 9 is interfering with my ability to access or copy to my CD E drive? If so, is there a fix? sad.gif

I had this problem with a Dell laptop with xp and I also have it with a Dell pc. This approach worked for the laptop: Start Windows Media Plalyer; follow path:
tools/options/devices/select your drive/properties/recording
click "Enable CD recording by dragging files to the CD-r icon on your computer.
click apply and OK.

The laptop does not have creator 9 installed; however, I had just downloaded into the laptop from a cd created on the pc where creator 9 is installed. I suspect creator 9 is the culprit in this problem.

The approach used on the laptop has not worked on the pc.

Karen, thanks for your reply. Your answer is correct for part of the solution. After removing the D2D, the CD recording has to be reinstated. this involves going to SERVICES, starting the IMAPI CD BURNING COM
service, then going to the burner PROPERTIES, clicking on RECORDING, click on "ENABLE RECORDING ON THIS DRIVE".
