I had to do a clean uninstall and now cannot reinstall EMC 9. I tried the patch "fix" for the Key error but this didn't help. I keep getting the error, Invalid CD Key. I have done a clean uninstall twice but no luck.

Check the key you're using (you can find your registered key here)
Make sure you haven't confused 2 and Z (two and zulu) 0 and O (zero and oscar) or 1 and l (one and lima)
If that still fails, uninstall (following the pinned post at the top of the Vista forum) and install again

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Thanks for the reply. I have done the clean install a few times now. I also ran the Key fix but that didn't help. I did notice that there is a different CD Key listed in my account than I have on the envelope but that one didn't work either. The first time i went through the re-install yesterday, I made it past the Key screen and then it locked up at 98% and wouldn't finish. I had to reboot and try again and that is when the key error occurred.
