DLA came preinstalled on my Windows XP Toshiba Laptop, and it was always the case that I could not drag and drop new URLs into the favorites on Internet Explorer. I could also not use drag and drop to reorder the favorites. The window simply did not behave as a drop target.
I have just found that disabling the 'DriveLetterAccess' Browser Addon in Internet Explorer cures the problem. The addon seems to be related to DLA, although DLA still seems to work with this disabled. Presumably there will be some DLA functions involving Internet Explorer that will not work in future. As I dont use DLA, and it does not appear to work with Vista I may well just remove it.
