Hi There,
I have just purchased a lovely DELL Dimension C521 with Vista Home Premium witch had  Roxio Creator DE 9 was pre-installed   smile.gif .  My Problem (having always used Nero before) when I start it and choose Audio -> Copy Disk (I want to make a copy of a CD to play in the car) the programme says put a CD in the Drive and hit the red COPY button.  I have dutifully done this a couple of times with the same result.  The Mouse cursor spins away so you think its doing something then after a while you bring up Task Manager which reveals that Roxio is not responding.   angry.gif  I stop it and all is OK but when I try to start it again it presents the Flash screen and Freezes or it eventually says its not responding.  When it freezes a reboot is the only way to clear it.
AM I STUPID?  DOING SOMETHING WRONG or WHAT.  tongue.gif
Can someone please help me as my current solution is to uninstall it (which also seems to be a problem i've noticed) and install Nero or some Free programmes

Full PC Spec is
Dimension C521
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+
1 Gig Memory
Vista Home Premium

Hope someone can help
Cheers
MIke

As you can probably guess the DE is Dell Edition. So the following may not be available to you. If you use that Audio>Copy disc, you end up using a program that some people have had trouble with (leftover from early Sonic Solutions programs.

Instead of doing that, go to the Home Application page and select "Disc Copier". Thats' a program that should work fine for you. Make sure you set the tab to copy and that you select the right drives for the from/to. The program should look something like this.

Thanks for the input - You were right - the option you offered was not available to me.  Just had a few more "Not Respondings" to make my night.  Why does Dell have to create "their Edition" anyway.

Think I'll bite the bullet and install Nero

Night Night and thanks once again

Mike
