When using Roxio to burn an ISO it's pretty much a roll of the dice. Sometimes it works without a hiccup. Other times Roxio will tell me over and over again to insert a blank dvd into my burner, even though there IS a blank dvd in my burner. Look at the following images--
In Pic 1 you will see that Roxio examines the dvd in the drive and declares it EMPTY, as in 'has nothing on it'. The media has 4,482.6MB of empty space available and 0.0MB of used space.
In Pic 2 you will see that when I choose an image to burn the disc in the lower left corner changes to 2.6GB and my pointer is on the "Burn Image" button.
And finally in the last picture (Pic 3) you see what I keep seeing. Roxio goes from declaring the disc to be blank to suddenly declaring it to be full and to insert another disc. I could insert every disc I have and get the same results. What gives?
Where did this Roxio Creator Basic V9 come from? Quit using the Home screen, try start, all programs Roxio Creator Basic V9, copy, disc copier, if you have it!
The 2.6GB free should be the difference in your ISO and 4.4GB on the empty disc. How big is your ISO, right click properties?
Your HL-DT-ST-GSA-E30L is a USB, Hitachi, LiteOn, LG, What?
Download the free ImgBurn, Current version: 2.3.2.0 ISO burn tool. If ImgBurn burns the same ISO with the same media the 9 Basic is rejecting, it's a 9 Basic software problem.

The program only knows what the Drive and OS are telling it!
There is something wrong with you drive/media and it is reporting itself as empty to the OS which in turn is telling Roxio, nothing is there…
However there are some known issues but your screen caps only vaguely convey what you are doing. If you would add some more details it would help.
What I mean is, when I click on Roxio's TOOLS, and then "Disc Information" it tells me the disc in my LG burner is blank, but when I go to burn an image to this blank disc Roxio stops the process and tells me to replace the disc with a blank one. And no matter how many discs I put it it still tells me to put in a blank one.
This Basic version of Roxio came with my laptop I bought two months ago. Before that I used Nero 6 ith great results, but Nero 6 is incompatible with Windows Vista--as is most everything useful.
