Hi, and thanks for any help you can give me on this issue.

I have a year-old HP PC running XP which came pre-loaded with the Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7 software (Build: 2.4.11a)  Recently we had to replace the CD/DVDW lightscribe drive.  (The new one is a Tsst Corp CD/DVDW TS-H652M)

Prior to HP killing my previous lightscribe drive, everything worked fine.  Now that we have replaced the drive with this new one, neither this Roxio Sonic product, nor PhotoShop will recognize the drive.  "No drive detected" no matter what I try.

Physically, the drive is fine.  Using the device manager it is working, and iTunes has no trouble identifying and writing to it as a writable drive.  It is definitely a software issue, with these 2 programs.

I've been searching but cannot seem to find a location which might let me d/l an update to this version of Sonic.  Have I been missing one, or am I now sunk?  Recovering from this entire HP experience has been a strain, and I was really hoping we'd not encounter yet another problem on the way back to "normalcy."

Again, all help is gratefully appreciated.

You could also contact HP as it is their OEM version of Roxio.
