Let's be practical about that 500Mhz processor!
I have a 550 and with V6, V7 & V8 I can tell you for fact that a to render a 1 hour DVD Movie takes in excess of 8 hours.
Yes it can do it and you can start your charcoal grill with a couple of sticks and an afternoon…

I agree with Jim on the processor size minimum. Way under powered for video. Perhaps if Roxio qualified the minimum and then added "recommended" it would hopefully set expectations better.

Just keep in mind that the list of supported OS's does not include Windows 2000, and EMC 10 does not install on it.
