I tested it on Vista and XP and it installed and ran without any problems. I had no problems with v9 either but 10 installed quickly and I had no conflicts at all.
Just to clarify, I did not test the final version but am sure it was very, very close to the final version since it was   tested shortly before it was released today.

No software would guarantee to work on any OS, not to mention Vista, without any problems, but it does look like the gurus have good experiences with it.

Where did the e-mail come from?  That price would be roughly $36 US.  I would be careful.  That looks almost like the amount of discount rather then the price of the program.  unsure.gif

There are gurus scattered around the globe and no one has seem a price this low.  I'd be interested in seeing that e-mail also.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

The e-mail is a grace period upgrade for users who purchased EMC 9 within the last 60 days. Not all users are eligible.

How about a grace period upgrade for anyone who purchased EMC 9.x at any time? We send in our discs and $35, and we get EMC 10. While I have been able to install EMC 9.0, I do get errors when using some of the programs and it will be weeks, not days (according to John at Roxio) before a patch is released.

Problem with grace periods is where do you stop - put it back to 90 days and someone will complain they had theirs for 91. Eventually you could end up putting it back to ECD 2 purchasers laugh.gif

While I am p.o'd about the way Roxio has chosen to handle the 9.1 update (or more correctly, the lack of), I have not had any problems yet with 9.0 on Vista. While I would like to have 10 at $35, it would not be right for me to receive such an offer. Of course, I could always NOT take advantage of such an offer, but I do have standards - just have not found the bottom of them yet, so might be tempted. If there could be someway of identifying those that had problems, then yeah - this would be a great ideal.
