Just got a new pc with roxio creator basic v9 included with the bundled software. When I try to activate the program I get the product registration box pop up & it tells me I'm not connected to the internet. It also won't let me cancel out of it, unless the pc is shut off. Running vista.
Thanx
Jerry

Some of the OEM versions have that nasty habit of demanding internet connection.

Contact the people who made and supplied the computer and politely beat them over the head with the keyboard and ask why they did that

However, if it's for registration of the program, I don't think there's a manual route to doing that

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
