I made the mistake of getting the update. The install says "drag this to applications", which is apparently a mistake. Now if I try to launch TiVo To Go, it says that the file couldn't be found. This was working perfectly with 8.0, so I assume that whoever made the installer forgot something.
From this page: http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/toast/v8/tivo_togo.html
I suspect I might be able to get things to work again if I could get to the Toast Setup Assistant, but I can't find it anywhere. It appears to just launch automagically the first time.
Is there any way to get a working install disk or relaunch setup assistant?

Go to the Toast Help window and choose the set-up guide. When it gets to the page asking whether you want Tivo-to-go enabled check the box. That should fix the problem.

I just purchased Toast 8 to transfer shows to my iPhone and the Setup Assistant never gives me the option to install TivoTransfer. I've tried this multiple times and I also don't see the TivoTransfer executable on the install CD or in my Applications/Toast8 folder. looking for suggestions while I wait for the support folks to get back to me.

The page of the set up guide that asks if you want to enable Tivo-to-go appears right after you enter your administrator's password following the page that asks if you want to install Toast It and Mount It, Deja Vu, Divx and something else that I don't remember. I presume you've read the Roxio article linked to in the first post in this thr

Thats exactly the problem. I see all the other tools: Deja Vu, DivX, Toast It and Mount It, but at no time does Tivo Transfer show up as an option. I don't see the binary on the CD or in my App Folder. This looks like a bad installation disk.

Download the Toast 8.0.1 update again.

Tivo Transfer was crashing at startup after accessing my Tivo box. Just wanted to confirm that using the "Toast Setup Assistant" after updating to 8.0.1 did RE enable Tivo Transfers for me; I also noticed that it comes up AFTER the "Toast It/Mount It, DiVx Playback" etc options. Make sure you go past that screen (it even calls up the admin authorization dialog box before you go on to Tivo Transfer enabling) before you give up.
