My Dell came with OEM Sonic software. I changed English XP to Japanese XP and reinstalled MyDVD and RecordNow, etc. and registered. But they won't start with an error "Could not complete the last command because: Unknown error". I appreciate any advice.

You probably need to check with the Dell website Support for solutions.
