Unable to setup video objects

After installing Premier Suite 8 I can not create or edit video projects, but I get the message: Unable to setup video objects.
I have also a sonic mydvd 4.5 installed and it is running without problems.

Please post your computer specifications and OS.
Do a search of these forums.  There are a couple of threads with possible solutions including this one.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Here is my computer specifications and OS.
System: Windows XP Media Center Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2

Packard Bell, Pentium 4 CPU 3.20 GHz, 3.19 GHzm 1.00 GB RAM
