I do not really use D2D and know it can be uninstalled via add/remove programs.

However if at some future point I want to read an old D2D disc, is the install a separate selection on the Roxio Suite install or do you need to uninstall and then custom re-install all your apps?  I believe I have read that some can be installed individually and others cannot.

Thanks,

You can do a repair installation to add parts that were manually removed (or just went flaky)

Go to add/remove programs, click on Roxio and you should see the Repair option come up
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

And more to the point, D2D is one that can be removed or added at will.

Removing it is a good choice, it is no longer included in V10 and Nero has dropped their equivalent program (InCD) from their new version.

Maybe a *rare* exception?...

FWIW, if you copy files from an external DVDR to your hdd, and if you get some flaky results, particularly using -RW discs, having Drag to Disc installed *might* fix it. With a -RW disc from my Pani recorder, installing the application allows me to open the disc is the main Creator Classic program, which is the only way I can see the contents of the disc (in explorer etc.) in XP.
