Whenever I close / exit EMC9, Windows displays the following error message (shown below). It doesn't seem to affect anything, I just delete it.  Has anybody seen this error message before? I'd love to know what this means and if there is some way I can get it to stop displaying itself upon exiting EMC9.  Thanks.

Error message:  The instruction at "0x0b653440" referenced memory at "0x0b8a3ae8". The memory could not be read.

Thanks for the MS support link. The link references an "Index.DAT" file that is located within the IE history subdirectory and that the URL of a certain website is too long for Windows to read correctly and hence displays the runtime error notice. My questions are (1) what website is EMC9 trying to access? It must be trying to use IE in the background to get to some website?? (2) I found the "Index.DAT" file in the IE history subdirectory, but what, if anything can I do with it?????

If you're running one of the OEM versions (as opposed to the retail one) they want to be online for some strange reason

In the retail version, go to options, tools and uncheck the 'check for updates' tick mark
