I have Photosuite 7 Platinum. I have never had any problems, but the past few times I have used it and edited a photo, it will not let me save it. The hour glass is there moving, but if I hit a program in the background and come back it goes back to if I had never hit save. Anyone have the same problem or any way to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Since something has changed, make sure you have checked for spyware.  Run at least two of them - Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad -Aware and, with a hesitent recommendation the free one from miscosoft.  I used their beta one wiht success but i have not rried the new one.  The new one takes a lot of control our of your hands that the previous one had. Also make sure that the file is not being saved to a different location to the one you specified.  Do a search.  Also what format are you saving to? :)

My problem is that saves the edited pic back to original file name, so lost the original. Usually it gives you a choice, but it eemed to change during the day.

I save a Copy of the original picture and work with that rather than the original.

Did you choose save or save as? If you use save as it should give you a choice, a window will open up and you have to change the picture name then click ok.

I have the same problem - unable to save some photos after I have cropped them.  It doesn't matter whether I use the icon or the menu.  I am clean of viruses and spyware and have the latest version.

I suspect that the photos that won't save after cropping are especially large, above 1.4 MB.  Has anyone experienced and solved this problem?  Thanks

Could you describe in more detail exactly what you are doing? A 1.4MB file is not that large and there should be no problem saving especially since the original file was propably larger before cropping

Sorry for the delayed response...

I am just opening an unedited jpg file for editing.  Then, I will usually crop the photo and/or autofix the exposure.  When I choose the Save icon or Save from the dropdown menu, Photosuite more or less locks with an hourglass.  When I click on another program or Alt-Tab, then return to Photosuite, the hourglass is gone but the edited photo is unsaved.

This is unscientific, but I have noticed that this occurs more often when the unedited jpg is large and/or when I use the save icon rather than the dropdown menu.  But, it sometimes happens even when neither of these is the case.

i have the same problem.  Edit, save, hour glass, right click, hour glass goes away, and still unable to save edited photo. Tried uninstall, patch, ...How does the free tech support work? and does the tech support monitor these ( to fix problems?) I am sure there are more people with this problem. I have had this problem for more than a year.

Yes I have the same problem too.  Once pic is cropped it won't save or save as.  Just the hour glass is there and the little yellowy bar at the bottom does not go across as it does when a pic does save.  Then I can't exit or anything and have to press Ctrl Alt Delete so that I can exit programme.  Is there a fix for this problem.

You should probably start a new thread, instead of dragging up thread started in March.  It would seem that either no one has an answer, or it is an uncommon problem.

I would but it seems like this is the problem i am having why bring up a new discussion when its a issue that still hasnt been resolve.  I did notice if i do one photo at a time it seems ok.  If i bring up more than 2 to edit so i dont have to open up the file menu each time it locks up and will not save.  Another problem is the update for Photosuite 7 is a dead link?  tb
