I have read Roxio offical report that this 9.1 update is only for Vista Here http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/emc9/software_updates.html But it will work for Xp and 2000. I had no installation problems on my P4 processor pc's and when I bought a Intel main board for a new core2 duo processor and built this new pc, I found that EMC9 had the same identical problems in XP and Vista. The app launcher always crashed in XP and Vista on the core2 duo but ran fine on my p4 2.6 and p4 1.6. This update has solved the problem in XP on the core2 duo. I have not installed on Vista as of this moment but am assuming that I will get good results. So this update does address some issues in XP on a core2 duo machine. The only problem is that they have removed the Backup My PC program and that pisses me off .
9.1 Update is for XP in my case

If you have XP and you go to the program Roxio Home, you should see an offer to update BUMP…
But it looks as though its' days are numbered so you might want to be looking for another program with more 'durability'.
