I recently captured films from our holidays and though they appear to have captured fine (3 tapes), they were jerky and occasionally froze when played in videowave.  I decided to reinstall Roxio (version 9) and having done this before I did not expect a problem. Unfortunately for some odd reason my CD key is seen as invalid.  I checked and double checked that the I typed it correctly, abandoned and then tried again.  So I am well and truly stuck.  I took a second week off work so I could do the video editing and cant even start!!

Any suggestions anyone.  Tricky I realise.

Remove the  program as advised here and try again (you need a clean uninstall and don't forget to check for hidden folders in C:\Documents and Settings|<username>\Application Data). You will have to go to tools and tick the box in 'Folder5 Options, View' to show hidden files and folders
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

No problem - those hidden folders are a curse, but that's how MS set the thing up
