This update is directed at Adobe Premiere Pro - It also fails to create a valid MPEG when using the encoder or exporting to DVD. This XP sp2 issue is resolved with this update.  To my surprise when I installed this update I was then able to burn a dvd and create volumes with my project without error in DVDit Pro HD.  Hope this helps others with similiar issues. You can get this from microsoft - search for KB886716 and install !!
