BackupMyPC GONE?

Now there is no way to backup selected folders each on a schedule; They retained the ability to backup A SINGLE selected folder and schedule it, but they lost the ability to create a single backup job that contains multiple folders.
Now I've reinstalled EMC 9 to use the very program I purchased the software for!
At least I don't have to go back to my old copies of EMC 7, EMC 7.5, or EMC 8, EMC 8.05 Deluxe.

I don't think I have ever seen advertising that has a list of what what is not included???
It is disappointing to find something like this, but there is no getting around of the fact, that it is up to the purchaser not the product manufacture…

Me - I'm an old time PowerQuest beta tester and never did get past Drive Image (if you can still get it since they got taken over by Symantec)

OMG. Is this how it works? Let's remove a key part of the suite that's been there for almost a decade, and we'll see if anyone notices? The "BackOnTrack" util in EMC 10 is USELESS. I haven't found a backup solution to replace BUMP, and I am quite p!ssed that they removed it without a viable alternative.
Snapshots have their place, but they con't cut it when you need to copy a select, comparatively small group of data folders to removable media. Nice going Roxio, way to keep the customers happy.

While it may not have been in the suite that long, this backup util has existed for many years prior. I and others like me have used it as it went from Stomp to Roxio, now it's just gone. Nice.

It's especially annoying since Sonic already owns the rights to Backup MyPC. It's not like it would have cost anything to make its customers happy by including it EMC 10. Since Sonic has left me stranded with little concern, I am leaving Sonic with few regrets.
You might want to check out PC BACKUP PRO 8. It was developed by Migo, the company that acquired Stomp Software.

You might want to express your disappointment, directly to Roxio. This is a users forum.

At some time there was an update for BUMP avaliable. It is in fact stand-alone installer for BUMP that installs and runs without EMC 9 installed. You may want to request it from support.

I think you have that utility. It is the old version that you used to do your backup.
It is kind of a bad deal that BUMP was dropped in EMC 10, but if I had used an older version to make a backup, I sure wouldn't have uninstalled that version, until I found out whether or not I could retrieve that backup, with a new version.

Anybody know if BUMP is Vista compatible? That might be why they got rid of it.

I'm now using Migo Software PC Backup 8, and I'm EXTREMELY happy with it. I believe it is based on a prior version of BUMP, but it's been overhauled nicely.

There is no version of Backup MyPC as a stand alone version that is Vista compatable. EMC 10 come with Back On Track but will not open Backup MyPC files.
If the information provided does not resolve your issue simply update your webticket with a detailed explanation with the steps you have tried and any error messages you receive.

Looks like you got a very nice answer and an offer to continue assistance.
It would appear that you didn't get the answer you wanted and are not willing to continue with their offer to assist.
If you won't continue, that is your choice and the consequences are by your choosing …
