Toast 6, Intel Macbook - I'm trying to write some music to a dvd.  Some of the music files are on my macbook's hard drive, some are on an external hard drive.  Toast seems unable to find any of the files on the external hard drive when I tell it to burn the DVD.  Is there any way I can solve this (other than laboriously copying all my data from my external hard drive to my macbook hard drive every time I want to burn to dvd)?

cheers

This shouldn't be any problem. Which setting are you using in Toast and how did you add the files to the Toast window?
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

hi, sorry for not replying earlier.  I'm writing to DVD-ROM (UDF), a Data disc. The hard drive is a small portable Vaio.  The error message (during pre-burn verification) simply says 'the following files couldn't be found' and then lists anything on the external drive.

I don't know why that is happening and I don't have anything similar that would let me test this on my system. Sorry that I can't be of help.
