Hi, this is my first post.  blink.gif

I have Roxio Creator LE the Dell version and I am thinking about upgrading to Roxio Creator 10, as I am looking for software to make slideshows. I have downloaded Roxio Creator 9 on a thirty day trial. It looks ok.

I also have a trial of Nero Photo Show 4, that is also quite good and less expensive.

With Nero there is an option to add animated clipart to photos and there is a good selection to choose from.

Does anyone know if clipart can be used with  Roxio Creator 10?

What kind of clipart?  Videowave imports lots of formats including GIF although I have never tried importing an animated GIF in V10.  I think they have to be converted to a movie file first.  EMC 10 does not support any type of vector art or flash files like other editors.

Comparing it to Nero, basic Animated Clipart such as speech bubbles, starbursts, snowflakes etc. that can be added to a photo. to add a bit of fun to some photos. Birthday parties, Christmas etc.

Not sure how much of that kind of stuff is in the v9 trial one, but there are a number of those type items. They would be in the PhotoSuite app. You would add them in there to your image files before bringing them into VideoWave to make a slideshow.

But are those animated?  Videowave has some animated special effects, but no animated clipart.  I don't think EMC has anything like that.

They're nonexistent, photo assistant keeps asking for the content cd. One didn't ship, I mean download with the trial.   blink.gif

I have found the clip-art in the trial version of Easy Media Creator 9. It is in Photo-Fix & Enhance-Clipart. Quite a big selection but none of it is animated.

Does anyone know if Easy Media Creator 10 includes some animated clipart?

Plenty of clipart in Photosuite, but none animated.  Slideshow assistant has some preset overlays and none of those are animated.  As far as I can tell EMC has nothing like what you describe.

Even if you  insert an animated clipart from some other source, neither photosuite nor VIdeowave wll show the animation just the first image. In fact the only apps I have that show the animtion are Picture and fax viewer, clip art gallery and power point (in slide show mode).
PS just gfound out WMP 11 shows animation :-).

Nero Photo Show 4, Roxio biggest rival has included a lot of  animated clipart. Oh well maybe there's not a lot of call for animated clipart by Roxio users.  sad.gif
