Lots - what is the question?
Does the program recognize that your phone is connected? Did you try "Disc Copier" in the Complication mode?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

1. Says phone is not a compatible device.
2. Preforms a illegal operation and shuts down.

How do you have the phone connected to the computer - via USB ? Does Windows see the phone as a removeable device? Do you have free space on the phone/card? Which phone is it? What type of video files (format) are you trying to transfer?

How do you have the phone connected to the computer - via USB?
YES. Does Windows see the phone as a removable device?
Yes one time it showed it. But then illegal operation was preformed and shut down. System properties sees it as Samsung USB . . .no exclamation mark.
Do you have free space on the phone/card?
256MB
Which phone is it? Samsung SCH-a930
What type of video files (format) are you trying to transfer?
Regular wma’s or mpeg’s. Would I convert to qcp.file ?

Windows won't see it as a removable device but you can see it in system properties as a working device? Perhaps the drivers have become corrupted, you might want to remove and then install the latest drivers here.
Now does Disc Copier see it as a removable device. There may be two; both the phone and the card. Make sure you select the card.
That phone supports the following:
Codecs
MPEG-4 SP
H.263
File Formats
3GP/3G2
Video Pixel Resolution
176 x 144
Frames Per Second
15, 20, 25, 30
Bitrates
150 kbps @ 30 fps
Original recommendation still stands. Once Disc Copier sees your phone as an external device, just copy the file to your phone (external device - memory card) selecting 3GP format. Make sure that all the 256 mb is open. If you have audio or video you took on it, there may not be enough space for the video.
Your phone won't see wma or mpg(3) formats.
You may have to make a folder for the video; some phones require it to see it from the phone menu. Read your manual; it should have all the information.

Go to Windows>Start>Control Panel>Add or remove programs> select emc 9 and click change. Select repair. You may need your disc handy.

I don't know if it has any bearing on your problem but one of my sons has a Sony cellphone and even Sony's own s/w can't access it or do any transfers (claims it can't see it)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
