Not much information to offer suggestions with. Give us some details please. Be sure to include version of MyDVD, system specs including make model of your drive.

What Media are you trying to use, sometimes Media alone may not work on your burner. Try to stick with Taiyo Yuden, Verbatum or Sony.
With that said, what was the error you got and how did it shut down the program.

I will look at the video, later when I have access to a DSL conection. Have you tried different media? I would.. It could be as simple as changing the media.
When you installed Roxio, did you set up the DVD writer? Do you have the latest Firmware and drivers? I see you have Vista, make sure you have the latest copy of Roxio for Vista with the latest patches.
I know my reply sounds generic, but have no doubt media plays a large role in successful writing, as does the firmware and updates.

Good Luck, will watch your video later today

Firmwate (aka flash updates) for a drive are obtained from the drive maker - we can't tell you where to go because you didn't tell us the make and model of the DVD drive

Right click on MY Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager then scroll down to DVD/CD-ROM drives click on the + and tell us what it says there.

Uninstall the old driver first (right click on the exclamation mark and 'uninstall') and then install the new one after reboot.

Make sure first you have the correct driver for your card

LOL!  A dog will only be dumb enough to go after a cat, once.  That is, if the dog poses a threat to a cat.
