Any idea what the DPI of the photo should be for photos that will be shown on the TV as a DVD photo slide show? I have to scan some old pictures and want to make sure the quality of the photos will be good enough to view on TV.

It is pixel resolution that matters, not DPI. DPI (dots per inch) is a printer setting.
