Trying to simulroll two video files holding audio from the A roll using videowave(first time user). Just setting up dissolves between the two vids. seems simple enough. Setup the b-roll as an overlay and can get them synced but can't get the transiton. Any help would be appreciated. ninja.gif

You may be a newbie but it seems like you have some jargon re: video editing. I'm not sure what you are trying to do. From what I read, you want to show one video after another but have a transition between them? An overlay is just that, it overlays the original video. You can add them both on the same track and then add the transition or you can add an effect on the video on the transition so that it comes in to cover the original video. The original audio will still play unless you make a split and then mute the audio after the split. You'll have to add music or an extracted audio from the second (transition video) if you want sound.

To add an effect, select the video on the overlay track (click on it) and then select "Show Settings. Use the tab that looks like a moving ball. Add the effect there. If you want one to replace the other, then select fade in. Remember that the overlay can be no longer than the video you are adding it to. You can, however add a colored panel to the main track after the main video and make that long enough for the video on the overlay track.
