When I use Pan or Zoom (in Video Wave) on a photo and decide to change it, I see the change in the edit mode, but in the production mode, the old pan or zoom is still in place and no new change. A Tec. from Roxio said that is a probllem, and another said there is no flaw in the progrem. I could use some help. Roxio suggest I pay for Tec. help.

I just tried to reproduce your issue but I could not but I only put one image into the program and of course I didn't do a lot of editing. I did a manual zoom rather than one of the canned automatic ones.   Sometimes when there is a lot of editing in a project there are ghost images or music that shows up.  This is usually solved by clearing the proxy files. Go to the top menu and then select >Tools>Options> Clear.

Let us know if this solves your issue.

After you cleared the proxy file, did you save the project, close it and then re-open it?

How did you apply the changed pan and zoom.  Are you using one of the preset motions?  They really don't do much so a zoom in and a zoom out aren't much different.  They using a custom pan and zoom.  Watch one of the  demo videos here.

If nothing seems to work, you might try doing a Windows>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs> Change>Repair on the program.

You mean it does not incorporate the change you made?

This one worked for me.

To reflect the change made in the pan & zoom, I arbitrarily increment the duration of the still image (one click on the up arrow) and then put back the original duration (one click on down arrow). That now incorporates the pan & zoon edit made for the still image.

This has happened to me from since I bought the software. I think it's just a glitch. The actual change does happen after it's saved, but sometimes it doesn't show it while the same "session" is open. Whether it's a location of a manual p&z, or a time duration edit, it won't show until you save, close the program, and reopen it. Not to worry- if you output the project, you WILL see the change- as long as you've saved it.

Hope this helps.........

In my case doing what I posted above, the change shows up in the production preview in the same session without doing the saving/closing first.

So basically by changing the duration by one increment, then changing it back to the original duration, it kicks in the change without closing the session- interesting! I'll give that a shot today and report back. Thanks malatekid, you DA MAN!!

Yes, it worked that way in my case.

Let us know.

Aloha,

I want to thank everyone for the help. When I didn't see the change in the production mode, I gave up and didn't see any reason to save my production. I tried all your suggestiond, both changing the duration and saving, and both methods worked. Roxio gave me a case number, but never got back with anykind of suggestion. Again thanks for taking the time to help.

malatekid- you just saved me some time with your "even easier" fix. Thanks again, as usual.........

Perfect! I had been using the save and reopen method to view my P&Z changes. This 'glitch' only seemed to affect my longer productions with lots of slides and P&Z's. I tried your suggestion and it works like a charm smile.gif Thanks malatekid!
